This module explains the concept of impact in the context of theories of change. Participants will learn the main steps and practical tools for conducting an impact evaluation. The module also focuses on supporting young people to recognize the impact their projects have had on themselves and what they have learned from the experience.

Impact
“The extent to which an intervention has generated or is expected to generate significant positive or negative, intended or unintended, higher-level effects.”
Knowledge
“All the themes and issues you know or need to know about how to do your work.”
Competence
“The ability to do something successfully or efficiently. When one person is competent, they can apply what they know to do a specific task or solve a problem, and they are able to transfer this ability between different situations. A competence is understood as having three interlinked dimensions: knowledge, skills, and attitudes (values).”
Skill
“What you are able to do or what you need to be able to do your work.”
Attitude
“The attitudes and values you need to espouse (or embrace) in order to do your work effectively.”
